1. What books I need to buy?

All the students enrolled for the program will receive free soft copies of the course material. The original printed books can also be purchased online or from the Institute at a discounted price. Please visit our merchandise section for book price or email enquiry@koreanlanguageclass.com for further details.

2. Is there an assessment test after the completion of the course?

We assess the student’s ability to memorize vocabulary, writing, reading, and listening skills throughout the program in every level. There will be one assessment exam at the end of the Course. The exam will be of 100 marks and the grading will be provided based on the scores obtained in listening, reading, vocabulary parts of the exam, homework tasks, participation in the class, and attendance percentage. However students or participants can also opt the option of no assessment/ grading required. We dont keep assessment exams for such candidates.

3. Is proficiency certificate provided?

A Course completion certificate will be provided based on the participation and assessment of grades

4. How can I test my proficiency after completion of a course?

After completing particular level, student can appear for a suitable TOPIK level test (Test of proficiency in Korean Language) conducted by South Korean Government at their own cost and can get their evaluation certificate. However it is the responsibility of the student to memorise the lessons learnt till the time they appear for proficiency exams.

5. How the program is taught?

A cumulative approach is used where students will be trained in listening, reading, speaking, and writing. The medium of Instruction is English. We will also do local language instruction so as to make students understand some concepts in more easy way. Students can opt for online/ offline/ hybrid mode of classes. 

6. Which curriculum is used for teaching?

We follow sogang Korean series (1A to 6 B). This particular series helps in systematic learning of Korean basics, vocabulary, reading, writing, and speaking at a easy pace. The curriculum is also prescribed of National Institute of International Education (NIIED, South Korea) for foreigners learning Korean in South Korea for their day to day conversation.

7. How should I pay for the program?

Students have to pay in full after taking the first free class. However, under certain circumstances, students will be given 2 installments. Student can pay 65% of the course fee at the start of the program and remaining fee can be paid after 1.5 months. We also provide student scholarships time to time for deserving candidates. 8. What possible opportunities exist for me after I learn the Korean language?

Learning a new foreign language always adds value to your professional degrees. A recent surge of South Korean investments in India (Kia, Hyundai, Samsung, LG, POSCO) suggested a huge manpower requirement with Korean language skills. Hence, language skills are always come handy in work or business environment. Students desirous of studying at South Korean Universities will receive partial scholarship waiver based on the Korean proficiency score. Students with Higher Korean proficiency can also opt for language teaching, translation, interpretation, tourism related jobs. 

9. What are advantages of 1 on 1 classes over group classes?

Group classes are conducted at fixed timings in a day for a small batch of 6 to 7 members. Where as one on one classes are conducted based on the time preference of the candidate. Further all the class sessions will be recorded and a link will be sent to the student. The student has to download the recording to the local drive and use those recording for revision. The one on one classes are comparatively expensive than a group class.

10. Can I attend classes online mode

Yes, ofcourse, we conduct online classes for those who feel difficult to attend physical classes. The online classes will be conducted using zoom platform. The plat form is simple, interactive, and fun. You feel the same class room experience with the tool and interface that is being used in the Zoom.

11. Do I have to turn on my video cam during online classes?

Not necessary. We encourage students to switch off video during classes. However occassionally during class activity sessions, the students may be asked to enable video and interact during conversations. This is essentially useful to maintain a class room ambience in online classes.

12. What happens when I can not attend the registered program

If you can not attend the registered class with prior information, then we cancel the registration and partially refund the fees paid depending on the eligibility. However if student is absent for more than 1 month without any prior information and then willing to discontinue, then the fee paid will not be refunded. Hence make sure you have ample time to complete the course before you register for the program.
